I am certain my passing was clearly legal as I was back in my lane at least 100 feet of oncoming opposite vehicle. The cop initially, very flustered & prior to writing citation, said “law states it is 500 feet of oncoming opposite vehicle“. I informed him I was puzzled at this “500 feet distance” he purported as 100% factual. He wrote ticket in his car but evidently fact checked himself as he amended his previous 500 feet statement to reflect the true 100 feet distance point. And despite this, he still gave me a ticket. I guess “crow” is not included in his diet (wink wink).
