Los Angeles, CA asked in Medical Malpractice for California

Q: Kaiser is trying to cover up for a surgeon who didn't show up for a scheduled surgery

My daughter was scheduled 2 have 2 surgeries at the same time. A gen.surgeon did not show up that morning which required my daughter to have to have another surgery and kaiser refuses to accept responsibility for loss wages and the suffering my daughter incurred having to have 2 seperate surgeries. They have continued to pass the blame from one doctor to another, the schedulers, now they're saying it's my daughters fault for wanting another surgeon. When the bottom line is. She was prepped for surgery and the scheduled surgeon didn't show up.

A: Contact a member of CAOC who handles medical claims. They give free consults. Don't be surprised if they say the damages do not warrant their involvement. The facts don't tell me there is a violation of their duty that warrants a claim. They aren't required to do separable surgeries on the same day.
