Q: My moms home in FL had a quit claim on it to me when she died. Will that asset be subject to pay her outstanding bills?
Bills such as credit card, for $1400. or a medical bill of $200 and a few others not very large. I also had a joint bank account which I believe is not subject to anyone.
A: Your question makes no sense. If you are the owner, then her debts are not on the house. If she is, there is a way to deal with it, but as she lived in FL it is an FL question.
