Smyrna, GA asked in Child Custody, Divorce and Family Law for Georgia

Q: my baby mama keeps getting pregnant from different men, 2 excluding me so far. reason enough for me to get full custody?

our daughter's residency is with her mom. Mom has new boyfriends almost every month and is now pregnant with her 3rd kid from 3rd father. my concerns are that my daughter lives in an unhealthy and most importantly unstable environment, not growing up learning about love, marriage and family values. would this be a case for me to maybe get her to live with me full time? her mom would fight this in court

A: The fact that she had children outside of marriage - including with you - is not reason enough for custody.

A: I agree with my colleague, that is not enough to find her unfit to be a good mother. If you are not already working with an attorney regarding custody you should consult with one who can help you plan the proper course of action. -Homer P. Jordan IV, Esq. 404-620-1558 HomerJordan.com
