Asked in Divorce for Louisiana

Q: Where do I go to report a public official using his office and power of position to interfere in divorce proceedings?

He got himself named executor of the estate in a succession where he was the attorney for the divorce. He resolved the succession in 2011 and still has control of assets that are not rightfully his. As of today's date the divorce filed in 2006 has still not been settled. Who do I turn to to get justice in this matter?

A: If he's an attorney, you can file a complaint with the LA Attorney Disciplinary Board. The forms can be found here: https://www.ladb.org/Complaint/HowTo.aspx

A: Impossible to tel which came first the divorce or the succession. If not divorced at time of death, then still married and there is no divorce. You need a succession attorney
