Cape May, NJ asked in Bankruptcy for New Jersey

Q: I am in chapter 13 and working on paying my mortgage and back arrears !

I am in chapter 13 bankruptcy and my lawyer worked out a repayment plan for my back arrears while I keep paying my mortgage. I have been in the repayment plan for a year now and haven't missed or been late with a payment. I made a list up of all my bills that I have to pay. The Lender, Trustee and judge all okayed it. Then I was looking and I noticed I forgot to put in my Auto insurance. Since everything was already passed is there anything I can do about it ? I can't believe that I got all my bills on the list and forgot my car insurance.

A: You could pay your insurance outside of the plan. Are you a year behind on your car insurance?

A: You can pay your insurance outside the plan or you can make a motion to modify the plan and include it going forward.

A: Just pay it. As long as you pay everything no one will care.
