Oklahoma City, OK asked in Child Support for Oklahoma

Q: How can the custodial parent be allowed to not work for the past 10yrs? Can a judge order her to get a job. Children >12

She also has asked more in child support when DHS has already determined pmt is correct according to computations. In addition, the 2nd oldest aged out but I wrote a letter to not decrease child support because she is in college. So in essence, I am paying more than I am required to. I also pay for all school clothes, supplies, extracurricular activities and recreational activities. Again, she doesn't and hasn't worked so she never has money for these things.

A: Court won't order her to get a job but the court could impute an income amount that she is capable or earning. Bottom line, You need to hire an attorney to help you with a modification.
