Smyrna, GA asked in Child Custody and Family Law for Georgia

Q: Can I file a contempt on the custodial parent for recent visitation interference if I am still awaiting a court date?

Can I file a contempt on the custodial parent for recent visitation interference if I am still awaiting a custody modification court hearing that i filed? I have a court date coming up in December. However recently the custodial parent refused to allow visitation for the thanksgiving break . This makes the 7th contempt. In which all the visitation interference are which lead me to file a modification. I have not been allowed to see my daughter the past 11 months because the mother lives in Arizona and each time i fly there she either does not open the door or tells me she cannot go . I also notify the mother in advance as I am required to still she denies that visitation that is granted by the court to me. My divorce decree specifies my visitation days and the mother still goes against those times. I have been awarded make up time but then she still does not let my daughter come with me .
