Shreveport, LA asked in Family Law, Child Custody and Child Support for Louisiana

Q: My daughter has reached out to me saying she does not want to stay with her mother

My daughter has reached out to me saying she does not want to live at home with her mom. She is at the age 11, she is being left at home with her younger siblings, her mom does not take care of her like she should for example even though I pay child support my daughter did not have school shoes so I had to purchased her shoes. My daughter is saying that her mother does not use her child support toward her at all. Her mother has told her that the child support is not for her until she turns 18. She also saying she has to do for the other kids and that she gets in trouble for the things the other kids do.. If any lawyer can reach out to me to help me get custody of my child. I have already contacted the child support office they had me to file a complaint with child services for neglected children. I know I will need a lawyer to help me get custody of my child, I know my child will have a better life if she was under my household and she feels the same as well.
