Q: My employer had been deducting money for child support payments for some time now but they are never sent to DCFS.
A: Many attorneys send checks once a month to Support Enforcement. If it's been over 30 days, I would notify your caseworker with the state and provide him/her with a copy of your check stubs showing these deductions. The employer and/or the state may be crediting the payments to the wrong LASES number.
A: Where the heck are the payments being sent? Find out from your employer. If you think your employer has pocketed the money, contact the Sheriff's Office. But Mr. Bryan may be correct. This may be a typographical error and the payments are being credited to the wrong account.
