Q: Can a Landlord list your apartment for rent before the 5 day or quit?
Rent payment wasn't due until the 5th and the Apartment was listed for rent on the 3rd. I have text agreeing to accept the rent on the 8th.
A: The 5 day notice to pay or quit effectively is notice of termination of he lease. If you pay the rent, the landlord can give you a written letter of acceptance of rent with reservation of rights and continue to proceed with an unlawful detainer in court.
