Q: Workers comp did not send my exhusbands settlement to the state child support office. Will my ex be liable for paying it
Workers comp already has the order to send money toward child support. However, they didn’t send anything from his settlement he was awarded. We go to court next month. Will my exhusband be liable for paying it back since he is in arrears of $8000 and is on the delinquent payers list?
A: Yes. At this point the state may be able to recover from both the worker's comp. carrier and your ex-husband if the comp. carrier was properly put on notice of the lien.
