Irvington, NJ asked in Criminal Law for New Jersey

Q: Would they get any where for pressing charges to a 7 year old?

I got called from school by the Principal and Other parent child they said they were gonna press charges on my daughter for pulling the other girl hair (supposedly yank the other girl corn rows) ! She was defending her self from the other girl who was taunting & teasing her. She’s always blame for minor things any child would do, and no one ever listen to her side of the story, she’s being bullied in this school no one is doing anything about it. And it seems also that they’re also being racist with my family (children in this school). This is her 2nd year in this school and it’s been like this until now. My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD COMPULSIVE DISORDER and since then everyone has been treating her differently!!!

A: Maybe everything depends on the township that you're in and how strict the school district is and what they would require which is many times counseling.
