Q: Do I have to take my landlord’s offer of staying in a bad hotel in a different city while they finally start repairs

My landlord says if I don’t agree they will evict me

A: You do not have to take a "bad hotel". You have the right to be in a place similar or equal to the abode you reside. If the next town is only a few miles, then you may suggest a different hotel.

If you have any issues with your landlord, it may be worthy for you to hire an attorney to negotiate for you. Best of luck.
