Q: If all of the properties are in an LLC can rental properties be managed by an employee of the LLC?
In Ohio, my understanding that a Property Manager must be an RE Broker (and/licensed RE agent under a Broker). So if I work directly for the LLC (not as an Independent Contractor), I would be exempt from that requirement?
A: The LLC, as owner of rental properties, can authorize the properties to be managed as permitted by the Operating Agreement of the LLC, and can designate employees of the LLC or another company to manage the properties.
