Upper Darby, PA asked in Personal Injury for Pennsylvania

Q: My adjuster doesn’t work for the insurance company. Can I sue him?he denied my claim a week before he spoke to me.

I have a bulging disc in l5 and it was caused by moving a queen mattress by myself. I am on light duty but walk around 12 miles a week.I can’t stay home because I need a check, but now back is worse than was when I hurt it 4months ago

A: The situation you describe might be a situation of an insurance company using a third-party administrator to handle its claims (you mention that the adjuster doesn't work for the insurance company). That isn't so uncommon. If this happened in the course of employment (if moving the mattress took place at work), you should consult with a workers' compensation attorney. Many give free initial consultations.
