Q: Do you have to sign that you waive legal rights (Claims released and given up) clause to receive monies owed in FL?

Terminated for other - Employment At Will Separation. Company agreed to pay my time worked to date, 3 weeks of severance, and my quarterly bonus earned from Oct-Dec 2018, payable in January 2019. The Separation Settlement Agreement and Complete Release of All Claims states I must give of any and all rights under the law like, Employment Act of 1967, Older Workers Benefit Protection Act and many others. Can I really sign my rights away if any any?

A: Yes, if you want to receive the settlement you would have to sign the release. If you don't know what these rights might be, you should consult with an attorney, or at least research those statutes.
