Q: Am I entitled to any part of the profits from the sale of our home? my husband and his mom bought it before we got marr

We were getting married and wanted to buy this house, our credit was not good enough to buy it so his mom and him bought it. we are married now and have a son and I have lived in the our home the whole time. I have helped pay for the our home and raise our son. We have dry walled the whole house and have done many other things to upgrade our home. My father did 90% of the work upgrading our house and now we are getting divorced and my husband says his lawyer said I am entitled to nothing

A: Your husband's statements have no basis under Pennsylvania law. You are entitled to a portion of the increase in equity in the home during your marriage, including improvements and equity value earned by monthly mortgage payments paid with marital income during the marriage.
