Q: The father of my child will be deported soon. What do i do to stop child support payments and get full custody?
My children father is detained in immigration jail and will be deported sometime in 90 days. I will not expect payment, as he will be unable to send them. I do need full custody of my son, to make decisions that i would've rather needed the father to sign off on.
A: You must file a motion to modify the Order that is in place regarding child support. Talk with the attorney who represented you on the family law matter. Good luck.
