Q: Can my fiance be at my trial for domestic violence to support me, tho there was an automatic restraining order placed?
Basically my fiancé and I got into a fight while drinking and she called the cops on me saying I hit her, which did not happen. She said she thought she had to press charges on me for me to be arrested. I of course was arrested anyways and she wants to be at the trial to support me. But there was a mandatory protective order/restraining order placed. So my question is, with the restraining order in place, can we be in the courtroom together?

What you are doing is the same as asking a doctor to diagnose your problem over the phone when you say I have a stomach ache, can you cure me and what will it cost?
However, it is always a good idea to contact a local attorney proximate to the court to which you would appear.
