Q: If I was arrested for a domestic violence case but it was dismissed. Can DOJ still deny me from purchasing a firearm?
I understand. The person who called the police on me stated I kicked her which in my defense I pushed her off because she was hitting me. Nonetheless, I broke a head board which I purchased. It was filed and I hired a private attorney to handle this matter for me. The court requested I do 8 anger management classes but I supplemented them with school counseling. The case was dismissed after the classes were done.

More info is needed to properly evaluate your case. When you say the case was dismissed, does that mean not filed, trial and not guilty? Is it a situation that when you went to court case was not there? They are often filed up to a year later without notifying the defendant. Thus many people have Bench Warrants and do not know it.
What you are doing is the same as asking a doctor to diagnose your problem over the phone when you say I have a stomach ache, can you cure me and what will it cost?
However, it is always a good idea to contact a local attorney proximate to the court to which you would appear.
