Ocala, FL asked in Divorce for Florida

Q: Uncontested divorce, no children, nothing together. He lives in GA I'm in FL 2+yrs. Do I have to make court appearance?

He has already agreed to the divorce. Can I get it done without us having to do a court appearance?

A: You as the Petitioner in Florida will need to appear at the final hearing.

A: It depends on the county where you are filing the divorce. In some counties, when an uncontested divorce is filed, the court will allow you to just mail in the final judgment and the judge will sign it. In most cases the court will require you, as the petitioner to attend at least one final hearing.
