Q: Should i continue to let minor go to grandmas house while a case is going on between me and the grandma?
I was granted guardianship months ago of a minor whos mother passed away a year ago (mother was my girlfriend). The grandmother served me court papers saying that i have not done what the agreement says. So i wanted to know if the minor should continue to go over while this is going on. The minor has told me about negative things the grandmother tell her about me.
A: I agree 100% with the answer given by Mr. Thorgaard. I will also add my opinion that preventing the grandparent from having their court approved visitation may inflame the situation and possibly be used against you when the issue goes to the court.
