Orlando, FL asked in Family Law for Louisiana

Q: How do I get a restraining order against my Dad!!! He's a control freak and stalks me!!! He just shows up at my house

All of my life he tried to control and make every decision for me!!! He's emotionally abusive!! He's also very controlling over my relationships!! I started dating a great guy from a single facebook group from my church!!! He had it set in his mind that no matter what, he won't like him and he'll do anything to stop the relationship!!! My parents don't want me to get remarried because my Mom won't have a place to live because she's been living with me!!!! My Dad threatened me if I keep on talking to him, he'll try and say I'm incompetent!!! I'm also about to get my community property soon and I feel like they just want control of my money!! I'm a single mom to 4 year old twin boys and my oldest has autism!! I've worked with kids with autism from Fall 2004 to 2009 and then I went back in Fall 2016 and worked with autistic kids!!! None of my other family members will be able to handle Austin!! I have a degree in Early childhood education!! I make sure he gets all the services he needs!!!

A: Document your father's harassment by taking pictures of him showing up and sending you aggressive emails. Then hire an attorney to file a restraining order.
