My mother was bitten by fleas in a casino at a gaming table, does she have a case to sue? She had to go to the ER with severe swelling on her legs. The casino acknowledged that they do have a flea problem. The incident occurred in Foxwoods casino in CT. We live in New Jersey.
It's possible she could, but a fundamental issue that would determine the strength of such a case would be establishing a causal relationship between her injuries/damages and exposure to the fleas at the casino. One of the challenges that could arise as a legal defense is that fleas are prevalent in many locations, from furniture to pets. Maybe a good first step would be to consult an attorney and review the incident, your mother's symptoms, medical records that support her position, and other issues. Many attorneys who handle injury cases provide free initial consults. Good luck
