Owensboro, KY asked in Family Law for Kentucky

Q: What can I do when the father refused to bring the child home when they were suppose to return home?

My sons father refuse to let me pick my child up from his home, while he was at work. I drove there to pick him up, but he told his wife to leave with my child and drove 2 hours away so I wouldn't be able to pick him up. My son's father knew he was suppose to bring him home today and he did not inform me that he was working. So that's why I told him I would come get him. I had to drive back home because they were not home. He was suppose to bring him home at 9:30, but he never show, because we had disagreement. Can I press charges against him since he refuse to bring him and has me block from his phone and my son's phone is turned off and I can not contact his wife either. Can he get in trouble for not following court orders?

A: Take the police with you to retrieve the child. File a motion for contempt for failing to return the child.
