Bowling Green, KY asked in Child Support and Family Law for Kentucky

Q: What can I do about noncustodial parent neglecting medical support orders in Kentucky?

My daughter’s father is supposed to pay 67% of her medical expenses not covered by insurance, but refuses to comply because “I get enough of his money already”. Initially when we went to court, my daughter and I had Medicaid so court ordered that her father add her onto his insurance and he complied. Since then, I have married and obtained insurance for both she and I through TriCare Select. Having the two separate insurances has complicated things for us anyway (for example, since I am not on her father’s policy I can not retrieve information needed by her therapist), and her father is not cooperative in any form or fashion, so is it possible to request the court’s allow him to drop her from his insurance now that we have obtained insurance through TriCare, and instead pay that extra portion towards child support to help with her medical expenses that he refuses to help pay for? Or what can I do about his refusal to abide by medical support orders from our judge?
