Lake Charles, LA asked in Traffic Tickets for Louisiana

Q: After leaving a resturant with 15 year old daughter & 6 yr old son. I became suddenly ill to the point I was incapable

Of driving. I allowed my 15 year old daughter to drive since we were only 2 -3 miles from our destination. She went off the road after taking a curve too fast. Totaled the vehicle and 6 yr old had a mild concussion. I was citrated with a ticket for allowing an unlicensed person to drive and She was given a citation for driving without a license and we are required to appear in court next month. I don’t know what to do because I only allowed her to drive because i was not capable and felt she was. Especially since we were currently in the process of obtaining her permit the following week. I’m scared for both of us because she was only trying to help and I really needed the help and had no one else.

A: Don't understand why you wouldn't have called 911 if you were too I'll to drive a few blocks. That said you now need a traffic court attorney for both of you. You may also be getting a call from DCFS.
