Cleveland, OH asked in Criminal Law for Indiana

Q: I was sentenced to 1 year probation. And probation knowingly lied & filed a false document restitution short sheet

When all fines, fees and restitution are paid in full probation to convert to non reporting. The judge asked if I understood and had any questions so I said yes sir. So when I pay this off today what does that mean. He said well that word mean you dont have to worry about anything and a year from now your off probation. So I paid it off July 20 2018 then July 24th probation files a restitution short sheet against me and then probation tells me iam on reporting because I failed to comply with the judges order. I told them sorry but you are incorrect. So how can it be that Marshall county Indiana probation does not have to abide by the court ruling and get away with taking me back to court for violation of probation. When it shows on my case .org that all my fees are and were paid July 20 2018. How can I file wrongful suit charges against probation 574-341-2359

A: It sounds like probation did not do their work in a timely manner and restitution was not determined until you had paid all other fees as required. You should consult with a local attorney who can hopefully resolve this quickly.
