Q: When A Minor Is Tried As An Adult Does He Have To Stay In A Detention Center Until His Indictment Come Out In 60 Days?

On June 10, My 17 Yr Old Son Was At A Friend’s House & Some People Came Over & Enticed A Fight & A 26 Yr Ild Beat Up My Son, & Then When Another Person That Was There Seen Him Get Beat Up, He Pulled Out A Gun & My Son Took It Out Of His Hand, Took The Clip Out & Gave The Gun To The Other Person Who Came To Entice The Fight. The Woman Then Takes The Gun & Beat The Car Up. So The People Leave & Yell If You Want Your Gun, You Have To Come Get It. So My Son Comes Home With The People That The Gun. The People Left While My Son Was Showing Me His Face & Lip. My Son Leaves With My Male Friend To Go Get His Things From The House The Incident Happened At, Then Go To Another State. Oak Grove Came & Got My Son On June 11 & Arrested Him & Charged Him With 10 Counts Of Wanton Endangerment. Yesterday When We Went To Court The Lawyer Turned His Back On Us & Took The Prosecutors Side & Had Him Locked Up For 60 Days Due To Probable Cause. He Turns 18 August 27, Then Goes To Christian County Jail.
