Columbus, OH asked in Traffic Tickets for Ohio

Q: I got a traffic ticket from CLE. in the mail claiming a camera caught me speeding but its not my vehicle. What do i do?

my ticket came from cleveland ohio and i live over two hours from there and have not been there in years. Plus the vehicle in the picture is a silver van and i drive a white truck. I believe the confusion came from the license plate number being almost identical to mine. what should i do?

A: The mailing includes instructions for disputing the ticket. Unfortunately, it may not be worth it since those are usually a $100 fine and no points and you may be required to attend a hearing to dispute it.
