Oakton, VA asked in Traffic Tickets for North Carolina

Q: Can I get a dismissed speeding ticket removed from my driving record?

I recently found out that a ticket I received in December 2018 which was dismissed by the district attorney still shows up on my driving record. It does say it was dismissed, however I would rather not have it on my record at all. Is there a way to get it removed?

A: Of course not. It will remain a permanent part of your driving record. It is of course possible it could get removed due to some clerical error or other type of glitch but likely not due to your request unless you are powerful enough or have connections that are powerful enough but if you did, odds are you would be inquiring about it here. Be grateful you got the dismissal.
