Q: Whats a better option?

Hello, I’m from Texas and my boyfriend is from Dominican Republic due to income earnings I don’t think it would meet requirements ! I have two kids and he has one ! I’m taking a trip down to Dominican Republic in 2 months would it make it easier if we just get married over there ? My annual gross income is around $23,000

A: Marrying him in the Dominican Republic is not going to change the financial analysis. You have to show that you are able to support him and your household at the required level.

A: If you marry here, based on a K1 visa for your fiance or you marry in the DR will not be determinative of a successful application. Based on the household size that you mentioned, you will not be able to sponsor him, at least financially, on 23k in income. Thus, you will need a joint sponsor. Counsel anywhere in the USA can represent you. Some of us are very affordable.
