Q: Falsely Assucused

Q: My son was taking out my home bye Officer John Morris of SPD. No search warrant was ever shown. My son and others were

charged with Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault due to one minor allegedly having a BBGUN. My son allegedly was with minior and was charged as well. My son took a deal 10 do 5. Later I found out the officer who falsely arrested my son have been terminated from the police force for misconduct and the DA have been dismissed case. Everyone have been released my son is still in prison. I need help im wishing to sue the state for false imprisonment and my son still being held after case dismissed

A: It is imperative that you address the criminal sentence as you consider any civil action. I advise you contact a post-conviction attorney such as Adam Hames, Leigh Ann Webster or Scott key to obtain his release. Those documents will assist any lawyer considering a civil rights suit on your sons behalf.

Please be aware that all civil claims have a Statute of Limitations, and many of those are short, so please be timely with your search.
