Columbus, GA asked in Child Custody, Child Support, Divorce and Family Law for Georgia

Q: Child custody & divorce. Nightmare of years. He left myself & daughter. Then started court battle. Drained resources.

He was abusive. Now I believe he is abusive or neglectful to our daughter. She reports threats towards me. He litigates. Wins bc his lawyer is fraudulent. How do I prove these things? Is he allowed to get a final decree without disclosing his financial information? Does he have to pay to support child without an order during marriage? He didn’t pay living expenses, medical or any other financial assistance. We have agreed to pay our debts, but his have gone no disclosure even after requests during discovery. Please help. I have no idea which way to turn. He is claiming I owe attorney fees, however his lawyer admitted during chambers that none have been paid.

A: You need to consult with an experienced family law attorney who can review your entire file and give you advice. You're asking for a very specific answer about a case in progress and that is almost impossible to answer because an attorney would have to know what has happened in the case and more of your story in order to give you advice.
