Palatka, FL asked in Landlord - Tenant for Florida

Q: How do I get my boyfriend out of my home?

We have been together almost 7 years and he has lived with me for 6 of those years. His mail comes here but he has paid no rent or any bills. He has bought necessities for the house here and there, but not often, Maybe once every 2 months. He can be verbally and mentally abusive to me at times when it's just the two of us here.( I have a 12 year old daughter) I have just found out also that he has been cheating on me and two of the women he has been with have sexually transmitted diseases.... Herpes, hepatitis c, and HIV.

I have asked, begged, pleaded with him to leave many times over the past few years but he won't. How do 8 get him out of my home as quickly and efficiently as possible? We live in florida

A: The easiest way for you to get rid of your ex boyfriend is to hire a lawyer experienced in Florida's eviction process, have the lawyer send out the required notice, and then follow up with whatever legal actions may be required to evict him.
