Detroit, MI asked in Traffic Tickets for Indiana

Q: If I drive for work, would I still have to wait 30 days before i could get my restricted driving privileges?

I am not able to carry a suspended license for 30 days before getting the hardship license. I can find a ride to and from Work if need be. I am getting suspended for failure to carry insurance. I drive a company vehicle at work and am insured under my employer while on the job. Would I still have to wait 30 days if I’m only driving the company vehicle and getting a ride to and from work from someone else? I can’t go 30 days without work..

A: You should consult with a local attorney who can look at your driving record to determine what is the best course of action. However, just because your employers insurance covers you on the job, does not mean you can drive at work. The policy most likely requires you to have a valid license which you do not, therefore you are likely not covered under your employers policy at this time.
