Q: Green card processing and I551 stamp

Green card processing and I551 stamp

I won cancellation of removal and was granted my adjustment of status under section 245 in front of immigration Judge on November 4th.Is it necessary for me to make an info pass appointment to go to Uscis in order to get my green card?

My attorney told me that I don't need to do anything nor making info pass appointment but waiting for the green card to be mail to me.

But till now,I still haven't received anything in my mail yet.

I already booked flight tickets traveling aboard in 3 weeks.

I don't have Advance Parole.

Can I get I-551 stamp at uscis for my case?

If yes, what should I bring to Uscis .

Thanks in advance for any advice.

A: Since you are represented by counsel, all your questions must be directed to your attorney.

A: You must have proof of permanent resident status. Otherwise, you will be prevented from boarding a plane to the U.S. Make NO travel plans unless you have fraud proof documentation of lawful permanent resident status. You should work with your attorney and discuss your plans to travel 'before' booking reservations. If you travel, you may have trouble returning to the U.S. Some have simply made mistakes that result in the abandonment of lawful permanent resident status. Finally, if DHS has yet to update your status, then you can be barred from return.

Follow up with your attorney and your ICE Detention and Removal Officer. You should make sure that the file is closed out and that you have proof of lawful permanent resident status in your unexpired passport at a minimum if you no longer have a valid unexpired green card.
