Q: I have a theft by taken and obstructing to officer charge one is a misdemeanor and the other is a felony

What could be my punishment

A: Obstruction of an officer is a felony and the penalty is imprisonment for one to five years.

Theft by taking can be either misdemeanor or felony, depending on the value of the property stolen. If the value is less than $500 then the charge will result in a misdemeanor. However, if the value of the property exceeds $500 in value then it will be considered a felony offense.
