Q: Should i obtain counsel again for my family 2013 misdiagnose she was sent home from the hospital in the middle of stroke

In 2013 my family member went to the hospital then sent home in the middle of a stroke which resulted in life changing injury,so we obtain a lawyer he proceeded to contact his med expert who made a full statement that there was a misdiagnose that resulted in injury. Also there have been many discussion, one of the defendants came With a settlement two others decided for trial. The lawyer proceeded to contact his expert to prepare for trial. He was then informed by the doctor at last minute he could not testify to the whole statement but only part being that there was indeed a misdiagnose however he cannot say if the outcome or results could of been avoided. The lawyer sought other medi experts but to no avail he withdrew from the case judge on gave 2 months to obtain new cousel. My family member was very active person in life worked hard to take care of her kids she will never be able to go back to that if the doctors can't proof otherwise what is the compensation for being misdiagnose

A: Seek a consultation with a med mal attorney. That two month period can go by very quickly. It appears to be a difficult matter on which to arrange expert testimony and that could mean a new attorney, should you retain one, will need that time to arrange new expert witness. Good luck
