Lexington, KY asked in Consumer Law and Criminal Law for Kentucky

Q: What is the statue of limitations on suing car dealer for fraud?

I unknowingly bought a flooded vehicle from a dealer. The dealers wife is a notary and he forged his wife’s signature on some of the paperwork. Is he aloud to sign his wife’s name to notarize the paperwork?

I’ve been actively trying to find someone to help me for a year now. Hiring a private attorney is out of my budget at this time. The clerks office will not even let me Register the vehicle in my name. I’ve been out over $6000.00. Do I have any options ? If so what? Thank you in advance for any advice you may provide.

A: Statute of limitations is either 2 or 5 years, depending on which statute you proceed under.
