Akron, OH asked in Child Custody for Ohio

Q: Everything is going in his favor because he joined the military during the battle for custody. What do I do to help her

Separated last year and father joined The Army. I was given custody of phoebe my 1 and 11month daughter. He was granted visitation till he left for military training. After that he was given long distance visitation with over nights that the courts think is in the best interest of our child. He has been on holiday leave and has had her for 5 days and still has her for 2 more. The picture I have asked for had to be forced out of him. When I did get a picture she would look filthy and upset and had the same cloths on. He uses the military to threaten me on a regular basis. Nobody seems to care about phoebes best Interest. The whole time from her birth he was never alone with her and never had to care for her. He was abusive and did hit her before she was 1 years old. That is what ended are relationship.I’m afraid for phoebes heath and well being.Last words I got from him was “if your name does not start with Sargent I don’t have to answer to you you don’t have control over me”I need help

A: Only the court can make changes to the situation. Use the Find a Lawyer tab to retain a local family law attorney who can review the situation and advise you of your options.
