Lancaster, CA asked in Criminal Law for California

Q: can i get a paraphernalia charge dropped after i admitted to possession? Did the sheriff do a bad arrest?

my brother calls me asking me to go out back in the alley and come look check out his car he recently purchased...i sit in the passenger seat ,my brothers in the driver and his friend is in the back seat.Roughly 3 minutes later a police squad car stopped behind us and the officers tell my brother his car matches the description of the vehicle stealing mail from mailboxes around the neighborhood..I pleaded my innocence other 2 suspects told the cops i had just sat down in the car.The witness they bring to identity's me as a negative participant in the crimes.we were arrested and charged with gun possession which got dropped, fraud and identity theft.I was also charged with drug paraphernalia. .I have google maps indicating i was at home during when the alleged crimes were taking place and i have the texts between my brother and me leading up to the arrest.

A: more info needed.

share all this with your attorney either private or court appointed.

i would think the DA might reject this case as to you.

when they charge in situations like this it is usually for POSSESSION not ownership.
