Mesa, AZ asked in Probate for Texas

Q: My grandmother's will is signed in 1972. I wasent born until 1982 my uncle did not notify the court that I'm an heir.

My uncle was the executor of grandma's estate. My father passed in1992 and ive been looking for his side of family to inherit my half of my father's estate.

I found his side and made contact on Facebook middle last montb mycousin told me her father took everything when grandma died and sold it all then he too passed away. My cousins say I dont get anything not my father's portion from when grandma died. Nothing from my grandmother or uncle either. My uncle's two children and my uncle basically have taken everything and excluded me out of greed. I have grandma's will and I should have gotten my father half of her estate due to him passing away before her .I

wasent notified and since the will is signed 10 years before my birth nothing was set aside for me.the cousin will not gove me any documentation or information. As far as I know there was over a million in assets when grandma passed. I also know everyone on my father's have paid houses and land royalties stock etc

A: Hire a local probate lawyer to argue that you were a "pretermitted heir" and would fall within "children" or "descendants" under the Will. Also note that people with a lot of assets also often have a lot of debt. There may not be as much there as you would like.
