Q: My mother just died in Pennsylvania. She owned property in Florida. she put my stepsisters name on deed.

With my step sisters and her husbands name on deed, did I lose rights to the property as her naturally born son?

A: She was free to designate who would get her FL property. As an heir, you might be entitled to a share of other assets of her estate, but it depends on whether she already made designations and what she put in her will.
