Asked in Family Law for Kentucky

Q: How can I legally get my guardianship changed or be emancipated? Im 16 and from kentucky.

My mother passed away on January 2, 2020 and guardianship was signed over to my boyfriends grandparents in October due to my mothers declining health, since then I have been mentally abused and they have tried to kick us out and when we make plans to leave they tell us I cant leave and hold me against my will. They are isolating me from my family. I need to know my options as far as what I can do or my blood relatives can do to either get guardianship over me or me be emancipated.

A: Put your case on the docket in the probate court in your county and ask the judge to modify the custodians or Find you emancipated and terminate the guardianship completely.
