Los Angeles, CA asked in Contracts for California

Q: A parking lot our company pays for Monthly Parking tells us not to park during weekends. Is this legal?

The company pays for "Monthly Parking" and some employees uses the parking on the weekend for not work purposes. The parking management company says that it is not allowed to park there on the weekend.

I think the term "Monthly Parking" should include the Sat & Sun.

A: This is not a legal question. This is a situation probably caused by the terms of the contract negotiated between your employer and the parking management company. Your employer probably agreed to pay the parking management company some amount of money to cover you and the other employees during the wok week--excluding weekends.

Why? Because the parking management company opens the lot to the public for different events in the area and earns lots of money doing so. A possible answer is for you--personally--to pay an extra monthly charge for the weekends?
