A: You can't. Everyone has a right to a fair trial and appealing an error that made it unfair is part of that right. Remember that an appeal isn't a "do over" for the defendant at trial, it is a complaint that a court rule was broken or unfairly applied. Almost all appeals fail unless something blatantly unfair happened.

You would want the right to appeal if you or your child had been cheated out of a fair trial.
