My abusive ex beat me if I didn’t listen to him and said I had to rehome my service dog. I finally got away from him and I need her back but the people won’t give her back. I still have her microchipped in my name can I get her back?

A: The title says your ex re homed the dog. The body suggests you rehomed the dog. If your ex did it, the question would be whether he had your express or implied authority, assuming you were the sole owner. If you re homed the dog, then you can't get it back. Any claims you have against your ex and the new owners would have to be brought in Small Claims, where you can seek monetary damages or return of your property.
