Q: Legal age in Louisiana to leave home without parents consent changing?
Yesterday a Louisiana Sheriffs deputy told me this law was changing in June 2020. This would change the law which currently allows a 17 year old to move away from home in Louisiana without their parents consent. This law would change the age to 18. I am trying to find this law online, but I cannot find it. Can you confirm or deny that this new law is in fact going into effect?
A: That's because the deputy is wrong. There is no such law. Deputies don't have law degrees.
